It was just perfect. I’m actually glad they waited till the last episode. Because Arthur could see that Merlin didn’t want praise. It wasn’t to fool him. It was just so Merlin could always stay trusted and be able to protect him. It just. I just. My HEART. It was actually beautiful. He could see all that Merlin had done. Magic doesn’t have to be evil. It can be pure, just like Merlin. And Merlin learned that even though it was betrayal, Arthur could look past it. He could be his friend. OH GAWD. I just want to die.
When I saw this scene it was like season 1 again. I had hope and dreams… And then I remembered that nothing is OK and my heart is going to break like a china cup thrown onto tile.
